Additional Instructions for Adding Directory Entry
Directory Entry Instructions
- Go to our website – http://outsourcing-management-services.com and create a new account. When you receive your verification email, log in to our system, then select "Create Content" from the navigation bar and create your directory entry, building a full page of content describing your company.
- To create a hyperlinked URL in the directory, simply key the URL starting with www in the directory entry body. The hyperlink will be automatically created, or you can code the hyperlink using standard HTML coding (using Anchor command), if you wish to attach the link to your company name or other text in your description. Other formatting HTML commands allowed include: <em><strong><cite><code><ul><li><ol><li><dl><dt><dt><dt>. Click here for additional html coding and formatting tips.
- There is also the ability for enabling "Rich Formatting" which gives you a TinyMCE editor (similar to a word processor such as MS word).
- To attach a brochure, go to “File Attachment†in the directory entry form and upload the brochure from your pc. You are allowed to attach a brochure up to 2MB in size.
- To upload your company logo, navigate to “My Accountâ€, then “edit†the account, adding the photo where it indicates “upload picture†(this is the photo associated with your user account). This logo will be displayed in the upper-right corner of your directory entry as well as any other content you decide add to the site.
- Meta tags (description and keywords) as well as “URL Path Settings†are allowed in the directory form. The URL path is a user-friendly term or phase that will become the URL for the page, which should be your company name (without spaces), or something unique and descriptive about the service you provide (note this is NOT your website address). Example: If you enter a URL path of My-Company-Name, the page on our site will be called http://outsourcing-management-services.com/My-Company-Name. The default path setting will be "node/###" - where ### is a sequentially assigned number if you choose not to assign a URL path. Using metatags and URL path will improve the chances that your directory entry will be discovered by people searching on Google and other search engines.
- The form also contains a link for more information on the formatting options. These "Composing Tips" describe how to create a hyperlink and use the HTML commands described above. Click here for additional html coding and formatting tips also found in the entry form.
